Getting started

Learn the safest path from the dashboard to a finalized customer proposal.

Hawkeye Estimates brings customer information, installation scope, equipment choices, pricing, and a live customer preview into one proposal workspace. You can save incomplete work as a draft and finalize only after the customer-facing details are ready.

The basic workflow

  1. From the Proposal Dashboard, select New Proposal.
  2. Complete Proposal information with the customer and job-site details.
  3. Check the relevant work under Installation scope and add any custom work.
  4. Choose 1 option, 2 options, or 3 options under Equipment options.
  5. Enter equipment information manually or use Import Product with a supported product URL.
  6. Review every imported field, source warning, and warranty statement.
  7. Enter the customer price and any intentional discount for each active option.
  8. Read the Live proposal preview as the customer will see it.
  9. Select Save Draft while work is incomplete, or Finalize Proposal when every required detail has been checked.
  10. Print the proposal or use the finalized proposal’s delivery controls to create a secure customer link.

Know the two proposal states

State Best used for What you can do
Draft Work in progress Edit, save, duplicate, preview, print, or finalize
Finalized Reviewed customer presentation Keep the saved version, deliver it, print it, or reopen it as a draft

Archived proposals are stored separately and are read-only until restored from the dashboard.

What requires your judgment

Hawkeye Estimates can organize information and assist with product research. It does not decide whether an equipment fact is correct for the project or what the customer should pay.
