Choosing one, two, or three options

Use Number of options in the Equipment options section to control how many choices appear in the customer proposal.

Choose the presentation

• 1 option is useful for a single clear recommendation. Its default label is Recommended.
• 2 options create a focused Good and Better comparison.
• 3 options create a complete Good, Better, and Best comparison.

The default labels are only a starting point. Edit Option label when names such as “Standard,” “High Efficiency,” or “Premium Comfort” would be clearer and accurate.

Match options to the customer decision

Each active option should represent a meaningful choice. Differences may include system type, capacity, efficiency, comfort features, warranty, installation notes, or final price. Avoid three nearly identical cards with unexplained price differences.

Switching the count

Changing the option count changes which option cards are active in the preview and finalization checks. Before finalizing after a count change:

1. Confirm that the visible cards are the intended choices.
2. Review labels that may have changed to the standard defaults.
3. Check every active option’s product name and price.
4. Read the preview for missing or stale comparisons.

Only active options appear in the customer comparison. Continue with Good / Better / Best options for guidance on making the tiers useful.
